profiles module

Internal Vedic convention selection. Public service types are exported from the package root. See the package specification and task plan (V-01).

Run pnpm --filter @astrology/vedic build, check, and test after building dependencies (pnpm build:vedic builds all).

Profiles

createVedicProfileCatalog(profiles) validates and deep-freezes explicitly supplied profiles; duplicate id@version fails. resolveVedicProfile(catalog, id, version) returns the exact version or fails with UNKNOWN_PROFILE / PROFILE_VERSION_UNSUPPORTED; no other version is substituted.

PARASHARI_LAHIRI_PROFILE (parashari-lahiri@1) pins sidereal Lahiri, geocentric positions (measured from the Earth’s centre) independent of the house observer, true nodes, whole-sign houses from the lagna (ascendant), the Parashari varga schemes, a 365.25-day dasha year, the Parashari graha drishti policy (no node school), the Hindu sunrise definition, unreduced ashtakavarga and the moon-sign Sade Sati basis. Strength variants SB-V1, SB-V4 and SB-V5 are deliberately unselected, so the factors needing them stay unavailable. Profiles select identities only; numeric tables belong to the owning feature.

PARASHARI_LAHIRI_V2_PROFILE (parashari-lahiri@2) selects parashari-core@2, the integer saptavargaja scale, doubled Moon paksha, the specified Surya Siddhanta epoch, nodes-5-7-9 drishti and trikona/ekadhipatya AV reductions. The service defaults to version 2 while retaining version 1.
