D1 dignity, combustion and planetary war (two planets closer than one degree, one declared the winner) over Composer facts. Public imports use the package root. See the package specification and task plan (V-02).

Run pnpm --filter @astrology/vedic build, check, and test after building dependencies (pnpm build:vedic builds all).

Judgments

All thresholds come from a validated JudgmentRules table; PARASHARI_JUDGMENT_RULES ships the BPHS ch. 3 dignities and friendship with Surya Siddhanta combustion orbs. Dignity uses Binder sign and degree: exalted/debilitated/moolatrikona/own (exaltation, debilitation, domicile) are resolved by the table’s precedence, moolatrikona ranges are half-open, and an exaltation until degree (inclusive) ends exaltation inside its sign, so the Moon is exalted to 3° Taurus and Mercury to 15° Virgo before moolatrikona applies. Rahu and Ketu (the lunar nodes) carry BPHS signs with no deep point (degree: null, never exactPoint). The relationship to the sign lord (the ruler of the sign) comes from natural friendship.

Combustion uses the shortest arc from the shared semantics aspect primitive against a motion-aware orb; the orb is inclusive. Without the Sun the layer is { available: false }, never “not combust”. Unknown motion is unavailable only when direct and retrograde orbs differ. Planetary war pairs eligible bodies inside the orb. Outcome northern-latitude (Surya Siddhanta, used by the shipped table) declares the body with the greater ecliptic latitude the winner; lower-longitude (lower ecliptic longitude) is also available. A tie, or outcome undetermined, leaves no winner. Every judgment retains its rule id and input facts.
